What does the Digital Nomad Residency at Casa Chango look like?

Imagine yourself living in Mexico at an all-inclusive eco-resort that was co-created by dreamers, artists and circus performers.

You’ll enjoy highspeed internet as you co-work with other nomads and movement enthusiasts, surrounded by views of the Sierra Madre Mountains, the Pacific Ocean and the peaceful Colotepec River.

When you aren’t working, you’ll train, play and dance in our open-air circus gym, lounge by the pool and hot tub and be fully supported with 3 balanced and healthy meals a day, 6 days a week.

After the laptops close, get ready to be fully immersed into all of the wonderful things that our home in Puerto Escondido, Mexico has to offer. Do you want to surf, hike, dance, learn Spanish or snorkel?

This popular beach destination has something for everyone and we’re so excited to share it with you!

What’s Included:

• Private or shared accommodations at our new eco-friendly resort. Click here to take a look at your options.
• Daily cleaning service.
• 3 nourishing meals a day, 6 days a week in our beautiful open-air kitchen. Click here to learn more about meals.
  • Breakfast: 7:30-9:30am
  • Lunch: 1-1:45pm
  • Dinner: 7-7:45pm
  • Communal space for personal food storage in our kitchen.
  • Why only 6 days? Puerto Escondido is known for amazing food, so on Tuesdays we go to town to enjoy it!
• Use of all community areas:
  • Swimming pool & hot tub
  • Kitchen and dining area
  • Open-air circus gym and equipment
    • Note: Use of aerial equipment will only be approved for residents who demonstrate the ability to practice safely and responsibly.
  • Lots of hammocks for lounging
  • Our private hiking trail down to the Colotepec River
• Weekly Classes: Class offerings depend on what other programs are running at the time of your residency. They may include:
  • General Fitness/Conditioning
  • Core Strength/Pilates
  • Stretching/Flexibility
  • Creative Movement/Dance
  • Acrobatics
  • Classes offered by other residents

• High Speed Starlink Internet – Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency internet access to people all over the world, especially those in rural and remote areas that currently lack access to reliable internet.
• Access to our network of Spanish teachers who provide private or group classes on-site.
• Access to our on-site massage space and network of body-work practitioners for hire who come on-site.

• Transportation

  • Taxis, ‘colectivo’ shuttles, and motorbike/car rentals make it easy to explore are all available locally.
• Massages, Spanish lessons and other excursions are booked separately and directly with the providers as needed.

Cancellation Policy: No Refunds.  No exceptions.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Cancel more than 60 days before 1st day of program:  60% of your tuition paid (not including deposit) can transfer toward a future program within 18 months of cancellation.
Cancel  30-60 days before the 1st day of program:  40% of your tuition paid (not including deposit) can transfer toward a future program within 18 months of cancellation.
Cancel up to 30 days before the 1st day of the program:  20% of your tuition paid (not including deposit) can transfer toward a future program with 18 months of cancellation.

There is a slight chance you may be asked to change rooms mid residency for maintenance purposes. Some minor maintenance on the property may happen during August/September.   It is possible that there will be a few days when the swimming pool and/or gym is not available due to maintenance.  We will always let you know as much in advance as possible.
